How did you get to hear about CTE and what did you do beforehand?
“I wanted to write my thesis in a company and came across an online job advertisement from CTE just showing my current position. Before that I had studied information management and corporate communications at the University of Neu-Ulm.”
Why would you recommend CTE as an employer?
“The team is very friendly and enthusiastic and there's a very pleasant working atmosphere. Everyone gets the chance to actively participate in exciting projects and demonstrate their know-how.

Environment and Process Technology
Julian
Current professional activity: Environment and Process Technology / Engineer Design Construction
What do you like best about your job?
“You get a whole different impression about the final product when you yourself are actively involved in the planning of plants. At the moment I'm dealing with brewery plants and of course we are very proud of our beer here in Bavaria! I've become interested in brewing beer of myself since my contact with our brewery engineers.”
What would you advise your 16 year old ego?
“I would advise myself to do an apprenticeship before studying. You have more of an advantage as an engineer or design instructor if you have already had practical experience with plants and their building components.”

What would you advise your 16 year old ego?
“Keep your eyes open, stay curious, open minded and reflective! If a design engineer is content about his work then he has missed his calling. Be 18 years old at last!”

“My job helps me to use my full potential and creativity. You never stop learning. At the end of the day I am pleased to have created something entirely autonomously. I also work with state-of-the-art programs and technologies and gain experience in many fields of mechanical engineering.”
How did you get to hear about CTE and what did you do before that?
“I have been working as a technical product designer for machinery and plant technology at CTE for over 14 years now. Before that I used to work in another engineering office, then I switched over to CTE thanks to my colleagues recommendations.”

How did you get to hear about CTE and what did you do before that?
“I first heard about CTE at an information event for budding mechanics. As a trained container and equipment manufacturer, it was difficult for me at first because I didn't know which technical sector would interest me most and where I would feel at home. After a short initial talk, I realised quickly that I would have plenty of opportunity gaining experience in many areas of mechanical engineering. This seemed to me the ideal option and my main reason for choosing CTE.”

How did you get to hear about CTE and what did you do before that?
“I have to do a practical seminar during my studies. I heard about the company for the first time and knew this was going to be a challenge I wanted to take on. I apparently got on quite well because I now have the chance to write my bachelor thesis in the company.”
Why would you recommend CTE as an employer?
“You need to get on well with your colleagues, enjoy going to work and being enthusiastic about your job. This is exactly the case with CTE Development. It doesn't matter who it is, whether it’s the designer, staff or management, we all get on very well and are always in a good mood. The fact is colleagues are willing to help each other, particularly when you get stuck with a problem. You don´t get that everywhere: that's unbeatable! Thumbs up for CTE! Older employers get a fair chance too and our team provides challenges in an informal atmosphere.”

What do you like best about your job?
“When I think about it, without belittling my work, three years ago I was building tools for sockets in a 100 manned enterprise. Today I am rebuilding a plane which holds several world records and which is intended for the global markets. I can only thank CTE for this great opportunity. Of course intensive and in-depth know-how is needed; it's fascinating which more than what I originally reckoned with.”
What would you say to your 16 year old ego?
“Don't spend too much time around people who don't encourage you, plus stay clean!”
Why would you recommend CTE as an employer?
“First of all CTE is not your typical service provider from what I have heard from colleagues in other companies. You wouldn't normally expect such a company to be able to offer you support and supervision the way that CTE does. I also noticed when visiting colleagues at their projects on-site, travel expenses were covered, and problems are listened to as well.”
